PLANETARY CONJUNCTION
January/February 2019
Venus and Jupiter |
|
Stellarium reconstruction |
Here is a series of observations that I made from home shortly before sunrise on several dates early in 2019. On January 22 Venus and Jupiter crossed within 2.5o of each other. Cloud cover prevented observations on this date and for several days afterward. The third bright object in the animation is Antares.
This chart lists the date of observation, the angular separation as predicted with Stellarium, and the angular separation that I measured with the cross staff.
